DESTRUCTO - Demonic Possession review

DESTRUCTO - Demonic Possession

Dying Victims Productions

Yes true believers this is what you call the Devil's Rock n Roll. Yeah I'm laughing but hey why not. It's not every day I get to hear a modern Dutch extreme metal band sound like something that came out of Brazil in the late 80's. I mean this debut album is so steeped in Brazilian influence that someone might what to check their passports.

Now if you don't know what I'm talking about then it's Brazilian bands like SARCOFAGO, HOLOCAUSTO and VULCANO who this band worship on this album. Hey look maybe you have all the original releases by those above named bands (doubtful). Then again you've maxed out on all of the Greyhaze Records reissues (most likely) and want more. They this album is for you.

I swear listening to DESTRUCTO makes me feel like they were tutored by someone from over thirty years ago. You've got the blast furnace vocals, amazing blackened thrash riffs and total maniac drum work. The production on here is just a bit better than the original sound which is tolerable. The bottom line is that from a fan of the original stuff, this is just fuckin killer. I could listen to this every fucking day for inspiration.
