I never thought I'd hear a brutal death metal vocalist on a release by Dark Descent Records. I'm talking musically this is a sound which is beauty to the ends which are punishment. Yes this Texas act do American style death metal to the point of perfection or MORBID ANGEL / DEATH style. There's some grind added a few times but subdued with groove.
Musically this is an incredible display of old school Florida death metal pushed to another level. The riffs are fantastic especially when paired with the keyboard accents. The lead guitar work is a mix of melodic touch versus dive bomb assaults. But the vocals are horrible. They sound like they were recorded in the studio bathroom with a mike in the toilet. But hey the cover art is fantastic. Nuff Said.
