LOATHFINDER / DRUJ - Aspects of Oblation split review

LOATHFINDER / DRUJ - Aspects of Oblation split

Godz ov War Productions

"Poland's LOATHFINDER know how to do blackened death doom right." That is what I said about their The Great Tired Ones four song EP back in 2017. A few years later there's still no full length from them. What a shame and here we have this new split EP with Alaska's DRUJ.

As far as the three tracks by LOATHFINDER go there's two decent cuts of their HOODED MENACE influenced blackened death doom aesthetics with a not too exciting atmospheric instrumental sandwiched in-between. The cuts sound rehashed from their previous work so it was disappointing.

As far as DRUJ goes, they're another bestial death doom act whose two tracks on here go back to 1980's demo quality production values. Long and unexciting dirges of filth, in a good way, that would make INCANTATION say "nice try". I actually started to doze off.
