SLASHING DEATH - Off compilation review

SLASHING DEATH - Off compilation

Selfmadegod Records

SLASHING DEATH were (?) a grindcore act outta Poland who started out back in late 80's. Over their short career they managed to put out four demos. Their last one came out in 1990. Since then there's been a couple of compilations of the band's material released. Here we have a third compilation.

Musically I won't call this straight up grindcore. There's plenty of punk/hardcore influence running throughout their early songs from their first demo from 1988. You can also hear more development into a metal sound and structure with their future demos Irrevocably And With No Hope from 1989 and Kill Me Cause I Can't Stop from 1990.

For the most part this is for collectors / connoisseurs only. This band's claim to fame is that their former drummer Krzysztof "Doc" Raczkowski, who passed away in 2005, ended up in VADER for a handful of years. If that's your bag then here you go.
