Mike Paradine is a man out of Bayonne NJ. He's the drummer for underground power metal band Arctic Flame. A band power metal fans would do well to check out. They are pretty good. He's also a passionate fan of late 70s / early 80s hard rock & metal. Stuff like Angel, Motorhead, Thin Lizzy, Starz, and of course the mighty Godz. I'm a huge fan of that stuff too. So its natural our paths would cross sooner or later.
The Mike Paradine Group is his side project. Solo band or whatever You wanna call it. This CD is actually a couple years old. But I'm reviewing it. Cause I think people should know.. Ya know? I'm sure He would still love to see You own one too. I'm really into this album. There's a couple very cool covers on this CD. Thin Lizzy's Little Darlin rules. And of course Ya gotta love His cover of Hey Mama by the Godz. The album kicks off with an original called Deadbeat Dad. Good advice or warning LOL to a lot of em out there. Great song too. Other originals rock hard like Life's Not Fair(Too Fucking Bad) . Riot At The Public House. He even pulls off a ballad. Just a great old school hard rock /metal album.
The back cover is cool too. He actually re-created the famous photo. From the back of the Godz Nothing Is Sacred LP. With His band and some bikes. In front of the same bar 35 years later ! Now thats cool. So look Him & His bands up on Facebook. Hopefully He will have something new soon. Hopefully We will see Him in NC sooner or later.
